Still it is a rather nice attack and Black has only the move 4...d5 to avoid losing the pawn on f7.5.exd5 Nxd5 I can’t recommend this for Black, but most players will take this pawn.6.Nxf7 The main idea of the Fried Liver attack. It seems that White is giving a piece for free.6… Kxf7 7.Qf3+ Now look at this postion, before reading further, and decide how Black should continue.7… Ke6! The right move, but how many players will move their King to the center?8.Nc3 Nd4? 9.Bxd5+ Kd6 10.Qf7 threathening 11.Ne4# 10...Be6 ( Better is 10... Qe7 11.Ne4+ Kd7 ) 11.Bxe6 Nxe6 12.Nb5+ Kc5 13.Qxe6 Kxb5
